Find answers to the most common questions about ASAMS’ UKAS-accredited testing, reporting and scheduling. Where relevant, we link directly to service pages for full details.
ASAMS Ltd is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 (UKAS No. 0935). Tests are performed under accreditation where specified on quotations and reports. See our service pages and UKAS schedule for the accredited methods and limits. Where tests are not covered by the accreditation this will be specifically discussed before beginning the testing.
Under UKAS flexible scope, ASAMS may perform tests on similar products against methods not explicitly listed, provided no new measurement principles are introduced and parametric boundaries remain within accredited ranges (per controlled procedure QP08).

You’ll receive a clear digital test report (PDF) with all results and relevant details. For UKAS‑accredited work, the report carries the ASAMS UKAS logo and our accreditation number (Testing Laboratory No. 0935). Any work outside the scope of accreditation is clearly marked as unaccredited. Where traceability or certification is required (e.g., weld qualification), results are cross‑referenced to the applicable standard(s). Raw test data can be supplied for some tests if required.
Contact us with the report reference. We’ll review, advise on retest feasibility, and handle complaints through our complaints procedure.
